PARK RULES & SAFETY
Exploring and viewing the waterfalls up close are all part of the fun and excitement at The Falls, but do so safely by following these rules and reminders.
SUPERVISE YOUR CHILDREN
Little explorers can move fast. Watch closely and keep them a safe distance from the water.
SLIPPERY ROCKS
Rocks near the water can be slippery, stay off.
NO SWIMMING
Thinking of going in the water? Think again. The water may look inviting, but The Falls are for viewing, not swimming. Save your cannonballs for the Midco Aquatic Center.
TURBULENT WATER
Strong currents and hidden rocks make the water at The Falls dangerous. Keep a safe distance from the water while you capture those selfies.
FISHING
If you feel like casting a line, fishing is allowed, but you must have a South Dakota fishing license.
CAMPING & PARKING
As much as we love visitors, there's no overnight camping or parking at The Falls. Camper parking is allowed in the Open-Air Shelter parking lot.
ALCOHOL
The Falls are worthy of a good toast, but alcohol is only allowed where it's sold. Head over to The Lodge at Jacobson Plaza or the Falls Overlook Cafe in Falls Park to enjoy an adult beverage.
