They offer the perfect backdrop for any occasion. We have a 20’x40’ picnic shelter for smaller gatherings and a 40’x200’ open-air shelter for larger events—both with easy access to walking trails, accessible restrooms, a playground, and other amenities.

Looking to go BIG? The open-air shelter at Falls Park has ample space for your next corporate event, family reunion, or celebration. If you’ve ever experienced the energy at the Falls Park Farmers Market, you already know how amazing this space is. And guess what? You can rent it for only $25! The space is available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis when available.

The open-air shelter is not available to rent during the Farmers Market, which is held on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May–October.

Falls Park Picnic Shelter

Host your next small get-together at the picnic shelter with stellar views. The Falls Park picnic shelter is perfect for a birthday party or a picnic with friends. It has seating for up to 40 people, electrical outlets, and easy access to paved paths.

Reserve the Picnic Shelter

You can make a shelter reservation one of three ways: 

• Reserve online through the reservation portal. 
• Contact the Park Office at 605-367-8222 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
• Stop by the Park Office at 231 North Dakota Avenue (across from the Downtown Library).
